Collaboration Album with Andy Innes

BROTHERS is a beautifully put together album of traditional South African guitar styles, recorded in a raw and relaxed way to blend authentic local music styles with an easy listening feel.  The meeting of the two players’ individual African voices evokes a subtly modern version of genres such as Kwela, Amahubo, Mqashiyo and Maskandi. The album is topped off with a wistful acoustic instrumental interpretation of Enoch Sontonga’s immortal Nkosi Sikelel’iAfrika. Both Billy and Andy are multi-talented instrumentalists with roots steeped in the SA music industry and have had enviable careers in their own rights.
